Brazil Name Roster for 2018 RWC 7’s

Brazil has named a 12-woman roster for the 2018 Rugby World Cup 7’s. Taking place in San Francisco, California the RWC 7’s are to be the third time in which Brazil competes in tournament history.

Prior participation from Brazil was at the 2009 RWC 7’s in Dubai, UAE and the 2013 event in Moscow, Russia.

Brazil won Gold at the recent 2018 Juegos Suramericanos in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Head Coach Reubem Samuel has stuck to the winning formula from Bolivia with Amanda Araujo, Beatriz Futuro, Bianca Silva, Haline Scatrut, Isadora Cerullo, Leila Silva, Luiza Campos, Mariana Nicolau, Rafaela Zanellato, and Raquel Kochhann all on the roster for San Francisco.

The Women’s section of the 2018 RWC 7’s will be played on Friday July 20 and Saturday July 21. Brazil open their campaign against Canada in math four of the tournament.
