Scott Green to referee Major League Rugby Final

The honor of refereeing the first ever Major League Rugby Final has been awarded to Scott Green. A senior match official with the Texas Rugby Referee Association for several years, he achieved USA Rugby National Panel recognition in 2013. Green has refereed six regular season games, most recently taking charge of San Diego’s upset win over Glendale last weekend.

Referees from five different nations will officiate the MLR Championship Series. The USA’s Derek Summers will oversee one of the Semi Finals with England’s Adam Leal in the middle of the other. Paul-Henri Courbier, originally from the Catalan region of France, will act as an assistant as will Canada’s Chris Assmus. Luke Rogan hails from Sydney, Australia, while Green is a native of Wellington, New Zealand.

All finals will have full use of a Television Match Official.
