Argentina Confirm Rosters for Bolivia

Argentina has confirmed its Men’s and Women’s rugby 7’s rosters for Bolivia. They are to compete at the upcoming Juegos Odesur (South American Games) in Cochabamba, Bolivia from May 27-29.

Women’s Head Coach Daniel Villen has repeated the roster which competed at last month’s Hong Kong 7’s competition. At the event the team performed well, finishing among the top 8.

The Men’s selection, meanwhile, is influenced by external factors. The Juegos Odesur are to coincide with Los Pumas 7’s involvement in the London and Paris 7’s, the final two legs of this season’s World Series circuit.

With Santiago Gómez Cora already having confirmed his roster for London and Paris the team selected for Bolivia is missing potential players. The team is also to be coached not by Gómez Cora but, rather, by Leonardo Gravano.

While Gómez Cora has had first choice Graven has, nonetheless, been able to select an impressive roster. Leading the list is former Los Pumas 7’s regular Renzo Barbier. He is joined by notable names including José Barros Sosa, Julián Dominguez, Severiano Escobio, and Nicolás Menéndez.

ARGENTINA MEN’S 7’s
Renzo Barbier, Tomás Buckley, Julián Domínguez, Severiano Escobio, Máximo Provenzano, Maximiliano Filizzola, José Barros Sosa, Lucas Bellotto, Matías Freyre, Lucas Busdrago, Nicolás Menéndez, Tomás Passaro

ARGENTINA WOMEN’S 7’s
Anael Fernández Terenzi, Mayra Aguilar, Agostina Campos Ruiz, Florencia Moreno, Josefina Padellaro, Gimena Mattus, Jackeline Corso, Yamila Otero, Deborah Fretes Hernández, Sofía González, Valeria Montero, Paula Pedrozo
