Jaguares Suffer Moyano Blow

Los Jaguares have suffered a blow with Ramiro Moyano sidelined. The Tucumán winger will miss Saturday’s Super Rugby match against the Bulls in Buenos Aires.

Set to turn 28 later this month, Moyano is yet to fully recover from his head injury sustained playing against the Brumbies in Canberra. The injury was the second of the season for Moyano who was previously forced to miss a number of matches after being injured against the Lions in round two.

Moyano missed the match in Auckland against the Blues but recovered to start, and score, against the Chiefs the following week. The win in Rotorua came at a cost as Los Jaguares and Los Pumas lost fullback Joaquín Tuculet for the year.

A Super Rugby debut for Juan Cruz Mallía resulted on the tour. He joins Emiliano Boffelli, Sebastián Cancelliere, and Bautista Delguy as players preparing to face the Bulls this weekend. Moyano may be cleared for next week.

Additional call-ups are likely for the following match against the Sharks. The fixture is the final one before breaking for the June Internationals. Both Matías Moroni and Manuel Montero are being groomed with them set to face the Uruguay XV on Sunday, doing so for the Argentina XV.
