Cudmore Becomes Aix en Provence General Manager

Jamie Cudmore is now the General Manager of Aix en Provence. The French club made the announcement with the Canadian being assisted by Patrick Pezery as forwards coach and Fabien Cibray as backs coach. Meanwhile Christian Califano will be the development officer.

Aix en Provence successfully returned to the Pro D2. The club won promotion from the Fédérale 1. In coking to be compétitive at a higher level that club has added the above mentioned coaching staff and is also recruiting new players.

Among the new arrivals are Argentine tighthead prop Leandro Mario Assi. He has joined Aix en Provence from Biarritz for a second stint at the club. The 28-year-old is one of nine signings recently unveiled by the club.

Additional new players notably include Brive scrum-half Nicolas Bezy. Geoffrey Fabbri and Ed Fidow also join Provence from Top 14 clubs.

In confirming Jamie Cudmore as General Manager the club posted the following:

After careful study of each of the possibilities available to the club, it appeared that Jamie Cudmore, intransigent professional, French Champion with Clermont, responded best to the profile sought. The man contested four Rugby World Cups thereby becomes General Manager of Provence Rugby with the objective of maintaining the club in Pro D2 at the end of the 2018-2019 season.
