Scotland Name Roster to Tour Canada, USA and Argentina

Scotland Head Coach Gregor Townsend has named a 33-man roster to Tour Canada, USA and Argentina. The Northern Europeans will play three test matches in the Americas next month, doing so in Edmonton, Houston and Resistencia.

The roster features a combination of youth and experience. Among the 33-men are 6 set to earn their first caps for Scotland. They are Edinburgh’s Lewis Carmichael, Glasgow’s Matt Fagerson, Adam Hastings, George Horne, and Jamie Ritchie and James Lang of the Harlequins.

From England, Lang qualifies for Scotland via his mother. He is also eligible for Wales due to his father and played in Northern Wales prior to England. At junior level he represented Scotland at u18s.

Not touring is John Barclay. In his place Stuart McInally will captain the Scots. In addition to Barclay Scotland are without Luke Crosbie, John Hardie, Huw Jones, WP Nel, and Hamish Watson to injury.
