Match Officials confirmed for Rugby World Cup Sevens

World Rugby has confirmed 19 match officials to take control of the upcoming Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco. A total of 84 matches will be played during the three-day even that kicks off on July 20.

Included on the men’s tournament panel are two referees from the Americas. The USA’s Mike O’Brien and Damián Schneider of Argentina are named in the 10-strong men’s bracket selection. Nine referees will look after the women’s bracket.

Both O’Brien and Schneider have been part of the HSBC Sevens Series senior panel for the past two seasons. O’Brien was selected for six stops on the 2017-18 circuit while Schneider was awarded seven.
