Los Jaguares recorded their their consecutive Super Rugby victory this morning. The Argentine franchise made history in doing so as never before had they defeated a New Zealand side.
Tries were scored by Agustín Creevy, Emiliano Boffelli and Tomás Lezana. All three scores were unique with there being nothing in common between any of the scores.
The match was the third of Los Jaguares tour to Oceania. Prior to today’s match in Auckland they played against the Melbourne Rebels and the Brumbies in Australia. Having beaten both teams and now the Blues they have an opportunity to go for four straight away wins next Friday against the Chiefs.
The lead-up to the match against the Blues was complicated. Captain Pablo Matera was forced out, flying to Argentina on Monday. Mario Ledesma announced Joaquín Tuculet as captain in his place.
