Earlier today Los Jaguares faced the Brumbies in a Super Rugby match in Australia. It was the second of a four match tour to Oceania for the Argentine side. The visitors came away with a positive result, downing the Australians 25-20 in Canberra.
The win marks the first time in 2018 that Mario Ledesma’s team have won back-to-back matches. In total it takes Los Jaguares’ season record up to four wins from nine matches played.
Ledesma’s team scored three tries today, all of which were scored by backs. One try was scored by each of Emiliano Boffelli, Jerónimo de la Fuente and Matías Orlando. All three are into their third season of Super Rugby and hold down starting positions.
Additional Highlights of Los Jaguares performance was the patience against the Brumbies. Phases were strung together with there being a vastly different approach than that of the past. Restructuring through Ledesma’s regime has decreased the 50-50 passes and off-loads of 2016 and 2017.
