Argentina u20’s Named for 2018 Junior World Championship

Argentina’s u20’s roster has been named for the 2018 Junior World Championship. This year’s edition of the u20’s World Cup will take place in France with the 2019 competition being played in Argentina.

Los Pumitas are coached by José Pellicena, Enrique Pichot and Ricardo le Fort with Pellicena being the Head Coach. They have named a 28-man roster for the tournament which will be played fro May 30 to June 17.

Los Pumitas are the only country in their pool who are not from a Six Nations union. Argentina’s opposition in the group stage will be England, Italy, and Scotland.

The team had a warm-up match on Wednesday. They played against the Argentina XV in Buenos Aires, proving to be highly competitive, particularly in the second half. A match report can be seen by clicking here.

Following the match the coaching staff have made the final decision as to the make-up of their roster for the 2018 Junior World Championship. Flanker Joaquín de la Vega will captain the side in France.
