The Uruguay XV is coached by Joaquín Pastore and Guillermo Storace. With Los Teros already qualified for RWC 2019 the Sudamérica 6 Naciones ‘A’ and the World Rugby Nations Cup are opportunities for Uruguay to expand upon player depth.

As such the roster differs to the list of Uruguay’s professional players entirely. None of the fifteen players now training as full-time professionals are in the 32-man Uruguay XV.

On the roster are both veterans and youth. They range from RWC 2015 hooker Carlos Arboleya to newcomers yet to be capped by Uruguay. There are some unlucky to have not played larger roles for Los Teros in the Americas Rugby Championship including Federico Favaro and Rodolfo Garese.

The Uruguay XV will open their tournament campaign away against Colombia on May 5. Before then Uruguay’s ‘A’ side will have a warm-up match against Los Teros on May 1.
