Urdapilleta scored all of his points via the boot. They came in all possible forms – conversion (2), penalty (3) and drop goal (1). His drop goal was a moment of magic as he used his foot to catch a wide pass from Rory Kockott, picked it up and slotted the three points.
The result improves Castres’ chances of appearing in the play-off’s. With two rounds remaining the Tarn club is in 6th position on 64 competition points. Pau and La Rochelle can both overtake Castres. Meanwhile all bar Montpellier are within Castres’ reach.
Not for the first time Urdapilleta has been the most consistent Argentine fly half in Europe all season. With Argentina set to remove eligibility blockage on European-Based players he could be considered for international duty in 2018.
