Imhoff Scores Against Toulouse

Juan Imhoff was among the scorers today, crossing for Racing 92 in their away match against Toulouse. The Parisian club came off second best, falling to a 42-27 defeat in what is undisputedly France’s Heartland rugby city.

Imhoff was one of two Pumas involved for Racing 92. Both he and RWC 2011 teammate Manuel Carizza started the match. Carizza played second-row while Imhoff started out of position at fullback. His try came from a cross-kick with him providing support and then using his feet well to step past his opposite, Thomas Ramos to score.

With two rounds of the regular season remaining Racing 92 are tied for second position with Toulouse. They are six points behind leaders Montpellier but have a tough task of finishing in the top two, the requirement to avoid barrage.

Next weekend Racing 92 are to face Munster in a European Champions Cup Semi Final. They are to do so in Bordeaux. The winner will face either Leinster or the Scarlets in the Final in Bilbao.

Imhoff is a certainty for Argentina once the official announcement comes through enabling European-Based players to be eligible again for Los Pumas. He will be a certainty to return to holding down the Argentine 11 shirt. Unknown is whether his return will come in the June Internationals, against Wales and Scotland, or in the Rugby Championship.
