Assi Leaves Biarritz to Rejoin Provence

Argentine Tight Head prop Leandro Mario Assi has signed to rejoin Aix-en-Provence Rugby next season. As such he leaves Biarritz to return to his former French club. The 28-year-old is one of nine signings unveiled by the club.

Assi departed Provence Rugby to play two seasons for Biarritz. Prior to playing for the Basque club he played for Provence Rugby in 2015-2016.

Provence was relegated to the Fédérale 1 but has now won promotion back to the Pro D2. The club will play in the 2018-2019 Pro D2 season and has notably signed Brive scrum-half Nicolas Bezy. Geoffrey Fabbri and Ed Fidow also join Provence from Top 14 clubs.
