Season Over for Bosch

The season is over for Facundo Bosch. The Argentine hooker suffered a minor injury playing for Agen against Oyonnax on Saturday. It occurred with him playing out of position as flanker and being named Man of the Match.

Agen Coach, former Puma Mauricio Reggiardo, made the decision to field Bosch at flanker for the match. The move proved to be highly successful as Bosch scored a try, had a hand in two others and was busy in general play. He made 67 meters as a ball-carrier from 14 possessions. This included beating three.

The win for Agen was crucial for the club’s survival in the Top 14. But for Bosch it was bitter-sweet as he suffered a sprain to the internal ligament of his knee which rules him out for the remainder of the season.

Agen’s remaining matches this season are against Pau, Clermont and Racing 92. The club faces an uphill battle in winning any of them but, realistically, does not need to based on the standings.

Bosch will now undergo recovery. He joins fellow Argentine, Ignacio Mieres on the sidelines. Mieres has been out for several weeks for Agen.
