Aviva Premiership – Week 19 Preview

Week 19 of the Aviva Premiership begins today. The latest round of the English domestic competition will see the involvement Argentine, Canadian and USA test players. With the season now heading towards its conclusion there are opportunities for a range of players to become English champions.

Opening week 19 will be the Sale Sharks at home against the Wasps. Playing fly half for the home side will be the prolific goal-kicker, AJ MacGinty. Joining the USA Eagles no 10 in the run-on side will be Caribbean flier Marland Yarde.

On Saturday Lucas Noguera Paz will receive further game time for Bath. The Argentine Loose Head has ben named on the bench for the West Country side’s home match against the Leicester Tigers.

The Northampton Saints host Saracens at Franklin’s Gardens. With the visitors out of the Champions Cup picture they can now focus all efforts on winning back the English title. Starting this weekend are to be Chris Wyles on the left wing and Juan Figallo at Tight Head.

Across in Worcester the Warriors are at home against the high flying Newcastle Falcons. The visitors from the north have named Evan Olmstead to start the match at flanker. The Canadian international may well be used in the position in the June Internationals with Tyler Ardron’s notable form in Super Rugby factoring in.
