Ardron starts again for Chiefs

Tyler Ardron will retain his spot in the second row when the Chiefs play the Highlanders on Friday. An outstanding run-on debut against the Sunwolves this past weekend saw him score his first Super Rugby try and earn a spot in the official SANZAAR Team of the Week.

The Chiefs have made three changes for the home tilt in Hamilton. All Blacks Liam Messam and Brad Weber start at blindside flanker and scrumhalf respectively, and Māori tourist Sean Wainui is named on the left wing with Solomon Alaimalo switching to fullback.

It promises to be an exciting contest between two of the best sides in the competition. The Highlanders were Super Rugby champions in 2015, the Chiefs lifted back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013. Both sides have started the new season with three wins from four games.

Friday’s match is at the FMG Stadium with kickoff set for 7:35pm local time. Canadian fans can watch live on TSN Go late Thursday evening at 11:35pm Pacific, 2:35am Eastern.
