New Blood Included in 25-Man Pumas Training Roster

New blood has been included in a 25-man Pumas training roster. Daniel Hourcade will have his first training camp of the year on March 28 and 29 in Cardales.

Although the UAR has signaled it will allow for European-Based players to be Pumas again the selection is entirely home-based. A mixture of Jaguares and Argentina XV representative players have been named.

The uncapped players are Jaguares winger Bautista Delguy, eightman Rodrigo Bruni, fullback Juan Cruz Mallía, and sevens star Matías Osadczuk. Bruni’s presence is of note given the exclusion of veteran trio Juan Manuel Leguizamón, Benjamin Macome, and Leonardo Senatore.

A number of Jaguares miss out. Those currently injured include Tomás Cubelli, Juan Martín Hernández, Tomás Lezana, Matías Moroni, and Enrique Pieretto. Established midfielder Jerónimo de la Fuente is also absent having only recently returned from injury.

Los Pumas are to play three home internationals in June. They host Wales in San Juan and Santa Fé and Scotland in Resistencia. Before then Hourcade will hold another training camp in May.
