Ardron scores first Super Rugby try as Chiefs blast Sunwolves

It didn’t take long for Tyler Ardron to get his name on the score sheet in Tokyo. The Canadian international scored his first Super Rugby try in the 4th minute of the match as the Chiefs blasted the Sunwolves by a score of 61-10 at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Ardron was making only his second appearance in the top tier Southern Hemisphere competition and was making his first start for the franchise based in Hamilton, New Zealand. Playing at lock, he did his chances for repeat selection no harm with a fine performance that included two 50-meter plus line breaks, one of them resulting in a try for Solomon Alaimalo.

Highlights of the match can be seen below including Ardron’s try and one of his big runs.
