Rugby Canada have confirmed the fixtures for the 2018 Canadian Rugby Championship. One again the competition has been limited to four matches for each team. Home-and-away matches for the East and West teams will be followed by a crossover Semi Final with the winners playing for the 2018 MacTier Cup.
The defending champion BC Bears will open the season against the Prairie Wolf Pack at Calgary Rugby Park on Friday, July 27. Matches in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver will take place between Saturday, August 4 and Friday, August 10 before the finals are played at Calgary Rugby Park on Thursday, August 23 and Sunday, August 26.
Of note is that the Ontario Blues will play their games against the Atlantic Rock with just two days rest between, the same gap between the Semi Final and Final.
The CRC is Canada’s premier domestic competition which sees four regional sides compete for the national title. The Bears and Blues each represent their own province but the Wolf Pack and Rock include players from across the Prairies and Atlantic Canada respectively.
All matches are set to be streamed online with kickoff times and details to be confirmed at a later date.
