Agulla Departs Newcastle Falcons

After three years Belisario Agulla has departed the Newcastle Falcons. The 29-year-old announced he was leaving the Aviva Premiership club on social media. He is now to return to Buenos Aires to rejoin Hindú where he will play alongside his RWC brother Horacio Agulla.

Belisario Agulla declared that he was leaving the Newcastle Falcons for personal reasons. He thanked the club, noting that he considered it to have been an honor to have been a Falcon.

Capped 11 times by Argentina, Belisario Agulla was a Puma from 2009-2013. His final cap came against Georgia in San Juan. He played for Los Pumas as a fringe player, and one to have emerged from PladAR.

His move from Argentina to Europe began in 2011 with his first destination being France. Following two seasons at Agen he returned to Hindú before moving to the Newcastle Falcons in 2015.

Agulla departing the Newcastle Falcons represents the third Americas player to do so in a brief period of time. Club mates Juan Pablo Socino and DTH van der Merwe have both secured their playing futures in Scotland. Socino will join Edinburgh next season while van der Merwe is also officially a Glasgow Warrior again.
