Perpignan Sign Former Pumas Hooker

Perpignan have signed a former Pumas hooker. The Pro D2 leaders have acquired Martín García Veiga on a short-term deal. The front-rower from Buenos Aires has begun training with the team who are on track for a return to the Top 14.

For García Veiga the move to Perpignan marks his fourth professional club. His prior teams include Jersey, Vannes and Barcelona. Aged 31, García Veiga still has plenty to offer.

At international level García Veiga has six test caps. His debut was in 2012 against Chile while his most recent appearance was the following year against Uruguay. He started for Argentina in the two home tests against England in June 2013.
