Perry Baker named to Vancouver Dream Team

Perry Baker has been named to the official HSBC Dream Team for the Vancouver Sevens. The Eagles flyer continued his remarkable form on the circuit, scoring seven tries at the tournament and leading the USA to a fourth-place overall finish. Baker’s 32 tries on the season are now one ahead of Wales star Luke Morgan for the overall lead.

Joining him on the selection is the only man to beat his try-scoring feats in Vancouver, Australian speedster John Porch, who finished with nine tries over the weekend. Fijian powerhouse Eroni Sau and Kenya legend Collins Injera rounded out the backs.

The forwards had one each named from the top three teams at the tournament. South Africa’s Dylan Sage earned selection along with Fijian ace Kalione Nasoko. Kenya captain Oscar Ouma was rewarded for his team’s outstanding showing at BC Place.
