Four Americas players in Vegas Dream Team

Four Americas players have been rewarded with official HSBC Dream Team selections following a wonderful Las Vegas tournament that saw the USA defeat Argentina in the Cup Final. Eagles captain Ben Pinkelman is joined by teammates Danny Barrett and Perry Baker, with Matías Osadczuk the lone representative of Argentina.

Pinkelman led by example in the absence of regular skipper Madison Hughes, securing possession at the restart and lineouts. Barrett was named Player of the Final after another rampaging performance, his second two-try effort of the tournament. Osadczuk rounds out the forwards, returning to the form that made him World Rugby Rookie of the Year for last season’s campaign.

The best of the backs in Vegas was undoubtedly Baker, who scored eight tries in all including a miraculous 100 meter solo effort that is an instant contender for Try of the Year. He is joined by South African playmaker Cecil Afrika, Fijian captain Jerry Tuwai, and Wales danger man Luke Morgan.
