Super Rugby 2018 – Jaguares vs Hurricanes Match Highlights

Round three of the 2018 Super Rugby season saw Los Jaguares at home to the Hurricanes on Saturday. For the Argentine franchise the result was a third defeat in as many matches. Finding a means to opening their account will be the theme over the coming days as Mario Ledemsa’s team prepare to face the Waratahs.

Against the Hurricanes the South American team were outmatched. With just a 58% completed tackle rate Los Jaguares were unable to hold off raids from the New Zealanders. The Hurricanes were able to exploit the gaps and score tries, doing so at speed and from long range.

Los Jaguares’ managed to score nine points in the match. They came in the form of three penalties from fly half Nicolás Sánchez. No realistic try-scoring opportunities transpired for Los Jaguares though. Correcting this may require rethinking the line-up for next weekend.
