Guinness Pro 14 Championship – Week 17 Preview

The Guinness Pro 14 Championship continues this weekend. Week 17 of the Celtic-Italian-South African League sees huge disruptions due to heavy snowfall during the week.

Friday was to see four matches being played. Instead there is to only be one. Cancelled are home matches for Ulster, the Cardiff Blues and Edinburgh. They were to play host to the Glasgow Warriors, Benetton Treivso and Munster respectively.

The severe weather has also seen Saturday matches postponed. Due to the Ospreys being unable to guarantee their safe departure from Wales to Italy their match against Zebre has been called-off.

The same is true of Scarlets vs Leinster. Due to problems with out of Dublin Leinster’s trip to play in Llanelli has ended before it started. This leaves Week 17 as having just two matches, both of which are taking place in South Africa. It also means that no Americas players will play in the Guinness Pro 14 Championship this weekend.
