Chile Prepare for Sudamerica u20’s in Mendoza

Chile is preparing for the Sudamerica u20’s in Mendoza, Argentina. They are doing so ahead of the 2018 South American u20 championship which will take place in Asunción, Paraguay in April.

Chile played a series of matches in the Argentine city. First up was a game against Banco Mendoza which Chile lost 17-12. In game two the Chilean u20’s defeated the ‘A’ side from Los Tordos 21-12. The same club is that which produced current Jaguar and Puma Gonzalo Bertranou.

The Chileans also went up against the starting line-up of Los Tordos. In that match they fell to a 30-12 defeat. In their fourth and final match Chile’s u20’s faced San Juan RC, falling 33-21.

 

Earlier in the month Chile’s u20’s played warm-up matches in Temuco. Involved in the Chilean u20 system for the matches were 37 players.
