Rodrigo Capó Ortega and Benjamín Urdapilleta both started in Castres’ victory. Playing at home against Lyon, Castres won 33-22 to move into 4th position in the Top 14.
Both players started the match with Capó Ortega captaining the club from the second-row and Urdapilleta playing fly half. The Uruguayan veteran scored the opening try of the match. His 23rd minute score was converted by Urdapilleta.
The former CUBA fly half would go on to score 17 points in the match. It sees his total for the Top 14 season moving towards 200 points. Overall he is the third highest scorer this season behind Benjamin Botica and Thomas Ramos.
Up next for Castres is another home fixture. The Tarn club will face Pau in round 19. It is a prime opportunity for Castres to march on towards securing a place in the play-off’s.
Castres won the Top 14 title in 2013, doing so with Capó Ortega making history with an Uruguayan starting and winning an elite level championship.
