Seymour Starts Against England

Tommy Seymour is to start for Scotland against England on Saturday. The Tennessee native started in the opening two rounds of the Six Nations and will do so in the battle for the Calcutta Cup this weekend.

Seymour will earn his 42nd cap for Scotland in the match. He qualifies to play for Scotland via his mother who was born in Glasgow. Prior to moving to play for the Glasgow Warriors in the Guinness Pro 14 Championship, Seymour had played for Ulster and was a junior representative for Ireland.

Scotland Head Coach Gregor Townsend has retained the same starting formation from that which defeated France in round two. Scotland’s win was a come-from-behind victory and included notable contributions from the home crowd. Good news for the Scots is that they face the auld enemy at Murrayfield.

Alterations have been made by Townsend to the replacements. Back from injury and onto the bench are Nick Grigg, WP Nel and Tim Swinson.
