Argentina XV Rotate Six Roster Members for Canada

The Argentina XV have rotated six roster members for Canada. The teams meet in the northern Argentine city of San Salvador de Jujuy on Saturday.

Both teams head into the match coming off victories. The Argentina XV defeated Uruguay in Punta del Este while Canada humiliated Brazil in Langford.

For the match Argentina XV Head Coach Felipe Contepomi has made six changes from the side which played in Uruguay.

The 26-man roster sees four changes to the forwards and two to the backs. Super Rugby trailed prop Franco Brarda joins the team as does second-rower Jerónimo Ureta and flankers Mariano Romanini and Nicolás Sbrocco.

The call-ups see Axel Zapata, Diego Galetto, Francisco Gorrissen and captain Lautaro Bavaro dropping out. As such the captain’s arm-band has returned to Tomás de la Vega.

The changes to the backs have seen Tomás Videla and Luca Magnasco replaced. Their places on the roster have gone to Gastón Arias and Felipe Ezcurra. Of them the latter is a Jaguar but is yet to be called-up by Mario Ledesma.

Forwards: Gaspar Baldunciel, Franco Brarda, Rodrigo Bruni, Tomás de la Vega (capt.), Benjamín Espinal, Lucas Favre, Francisco Ferronato, Diego Fortuny, Ignacio Larrague, Santiago Medrano, Santiago Montagner, Santiago Portillo, Mariano Romanini, Nicolás Sbrocco y Jerónimo Ureta.

Backs: Santiago Alvarez Fourcade, Gastón Arias, Juan Cappiello, Gregorio del Prete, Rodrigo Etchart, Felipe Ezcurra, Juan Cruz González, Juan Cruz Mallía, Lucas Mensa, Santiago Resino y Germán Schulz.
