Canada returned to winning ways against Brazil. Played on Saturday evening in Langford, British Columbia the North Americans put on their best performance of the year thus far, downing Os Tupis 45-5.
The North Americans were the better team for the first hour of the match. In the early goings they quickly went out to lead 14-0. Further tries saw Canada ahead 45-0 before they failed to score in the final quarter. Brazil’s only try came at the death.
In total Canada won the match by seven tries to one. Scoring for the North Americans were seven different players. Of those touching down there were first test tries for four players – Luke Campbell, Doug Fraser, Guiseppe Du Toit and Cole Davis.
Canada’s two remaining matches in the 2018 ARC are to be in South America. They face the Argentina XV in Jujuy next weekend. Their campaign will then close out in Santiago del Chile on March 03.
