ARC Over For Tomás Granella

The ARC is over for Tomás Granella. Having been a replacement against both the USA and Chile, the Mendoza fly half will play no further part in the Argentina XV’s campaign.

Granella dislocated his right thumb in Saturday’s match against Chile. He has been given a recovering time frame of one month.

Argentina XV Head Coach Felipe Contepomi named a changed roster for the round three match. His team face the high-flying Teros in Punta del Este on Saturday evening.

No specialist fly half was called-in by Contepomi. Instead Juan Cruz González is joined by a number of utility options. Notably among the other backs is Santiago Álvarez, who was released by Los Jaguares for the match.

Not called-up for the match is Martín Elías. The Argentina XV’s roster for the ARC contained him in addition to Granella and González as the fly halves for the 2018 ARC.
