The Can-Am Cup was contested between Canada and their hosts, the USA, at Papa Murphy’s Park in Sacramento on Saturday. Since 2014 the trophy has belonged to the Eagles, who had not been beaten by their northern neighbors since 2013 heading into the match. The second round contest of the Americas Rugby Championship proved entertaining but also very windy, with several kicks landing well off-target during the competitive fixture.
Canada handed test debuts to Luke Campbell, Dustin Dobravsky, and Cole Davis. New caps for the USA included Dylan Audsley, Will Hooley, and Josh Whippy. A full match report can be seen here. The match in its entirety can be viewed below.
