Six Schools Participate in St. Vincent and The Grenadines GIR Day

Six schools participated in the recent Get Into Rugby (GIR) Day in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The bi-annual event took place on Saturday January 27 at the Richmond Hill Playing field in Kingstown.

The day started with heavy rain but it quickly made way for the sun to enable a packed day of rugby activities. Included were rugby related drills and exercises and a series of tag rugby games. This enabled the schools to face-off against one-another in a safe and controlled environment.

The six schools that participated were South Rivers Methodist, CW Prescod, Barrouallie Government, Sugar Mill Academy, Clare Valley Government, and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic. In total there were approximately 50 students involved.
