Creevy Ruled out of Warm-up Fixture

Agustín Creevy has been ruled out of playing in today’s warm-up fixture. Los Jaguares are to take-on the Argentina XV in a pre-season friendly in Buenos Aires. The Super Rugby franchise will play the match without their former captain.

In the absence of Creevy Julián Montoya has been trained on Friday at hooker. He did so in the first Captain’s Run under the leadership of the new captain, Pablo Matera.

The decision to play without Creevy was taken by Mario Ledesma. The Head Coach did so as a precaution as Creevy’s spot on the tour to South Africa remains confirmed. No player, however, has yet been called in as cover.

Los Jaguares are to depart for South Africa on February 06. They will then prepare to face the Bulls in their remaining warm-up fixture. That game takes place on February 10 in Pretoria. From there Los Jaguares will travel to Cape Town to face the Stormers on February 17 in their Super Rugby season opener.
