Viña 7’s Final Results

Played on Saturday and Sunday in Viña del Mar, Chile the 2018 Viña 7’s saw Uruguay and Chile qualifying for San Francisco 2018. The two South American countries will play in this year’s Rugby Sevens World Cup in Northern California.

Celebrations continue for both Uruguay and Chile yet neither side were champions of the Viña 7’s. Instead Uruguay was the best from the Americas, finishing 4th. Los Teros 7’s fell to Ireland in their final match. South Africa were champions with a win over France.

Argentina’s mixed performances in the tournament culminated with a 5th place finish. Chile defeated Brazil 26-12 to claim 7th position, the USA Falcons downed Colombia 14-12 to finish 9th while Canada claimed 11th spot by beating Paraguay 43-5.
