Pro D2 – Week 19 Preview

Week 19 of the French Pro D2 is about to kick-off. Béziers host Biarritz in a battle of two former Top 14 giants to begin the round. The fixture is to be the only Thursday match. The visitors are coached by former Puma Gonzalo Quesada.

Friday will see Week 19 moving at top speed as six league matches are to be played. Having just signed a new two-year-deal with Colomiers, Agustín Costa Repetto will run-out at hooker in one of these games. His team takes on the relegation-threatened Narbonne.

Also in trouble are Carcassonne. The club will be looking for a home win on Friday against Mont de Marsan. Uncapped Argentine prop Carlos Muzzio starts the match for the visitors. Additional Argentine prop presence will be seen with Jerónimo Negrotto to enter as a replacement.

In Central France Aurillac are looking to improve on their 13th position against the visiting Charente. Starting for Charente on the right wing will be Lucas Caneda. Fellow Argentine player Joël Sclavi will feature as a replacement prop.

Los Teros fly half Felipe Berchesi has been named in Uruguay’s roster to face Canada on January 27 in Vancouver. His international teammates are preparing in Montevideo for the match with he and two others to join them in Canada. He will run-out for Dax against Perpignan this weekend.

Bringing the round to a close will be Bayonne vs Montauban. The fixture is to be a Sunday match. Line-ups are to be released on Saturday. Argentina and Chile are both expected to be represented.
