Axel Müller Beats French Winger to Score

Axel Müller beat the tackle of French winger Gabriel Lacroix to score this past weekend. The try came in a round 15 Top 14 match in which Oyonnax had home advantage against the in-form La Rochelle.

Müller scored in the left corner, breaking through the would-be-tackle of Lacroix. It was a combination of his strength, speed and a hand-off.

The uncapped Müller featured for Argentina at the 2016 Olympic Games. His performances there and on the World Sevens circuit resulted in interest from France. He played lat season for Toulon and this season is on loan at Oyonnax.

The Mendoza winger is one of many players to have missed out on potential international duty due to the Argentine policy of not selecting players based in Europe. This very policy has been heavily criticized from within Argentina itself. Changes are expected to come in March with a relaxing of it.
