The French Pro D2 steps into the second half of the season with Montauban on top of the table and odds-on favorites for promotion. Grenoble have moved into second place after defeating Bayonne 28-23 in the only game on Thursday evening. Argentine prop Juan Pablo Orlandi and Chilean lock Pablo Huete each played for the losing team.

Not far behind and still to play on Friday are Stade Montois and Perpignan. The latter host Narbonne, who arrive with Segundo Tuculet on the wing and Eagles forward David Tameilau on the bench. Mont-de-Marsan meanwhile start Argentine duo Carlos Muzzio and Jerónimo Negrotto in the front row when they welcome Massy to Stade Guy Boniface.

Four Argentines are set to play in Biarritz. Leandro Assi will act as reserve tighthead for the home side. Joël Sclavi starts in the No 3 shirt for visiting Charente, with Cristian Bartoloni his backup and winger Lucas Martín Caneda also a reserve.

Colomiers continue with Agustín Costa Repetto at hooker and Sebastián Poet at flyhalf for their match against Dax. The visitors will field Martín Chiappesoni on the flank and Uruguayan international Felipe Berchesi at flyhalf.

Two other matches will involve Argentinean players. Damian Arias will be a replacement prop for Montauban on the trip to Aurillac, and Horacio San Martín starts in the midfield for Nevers who are on the road at Carcassonne.
