Venues, kickoff times confirmed for ARC

International rugby will return to Ushuaia and Brazil will host only one match at their iconic Fortress Pacaembu. Those dates and venues have now been confirmed for the 2018 Americas Rugby Championship. Only one match remains at a venue to-be-confirmed, the fourth-round meeting between the Argentina XV and Canada.

[EDIT: Argentina will play Canada in San Salvador de Jujuy, kickoff time to be confirmed.]

The schedule is unique with Canada’s opening match against Uruguay on January 27 counting towards the tournament rather than their February 3 contest, this decision made to account for the home-and-away ratio during the tournament. An evening match in São Paulo in the second round will be the only Friday match, the rest coming on Saturday of each week.

There are two schedule conflicts for observers keen on watching every match. The USA’s match against Chile in the third round kicks off at the same time as Uruguay host the Argentina XV. In the final round Uruguay’s match against the USA will begin just a half hour before Chile hosts Canada at La Serena.

Complete broadcast details for the tournament are to be confirmed.
