Los Teros send strong team to Paraná

Uruguay has named a strong team to compete in the prestigious Seven de la República tournament in Paraná, Argentina. Included is a mix of youth and experience with a number of highly promising Teritos u20 graduates named alongside a handful of senior Teros caps.

Leading the way is halfback Guillermo Lijtenstein, a veteran of 37 test matches and captain of the Uruguay XV in the Americas Pacific Challenge.

Carrasco Polo forward Santiago Hernández toured Europe with the Uruguayan senior team in November of last year, and outside backs Francisco Berchesi and Ignacio García each made their test debuts during the 2017 Americas Rugby Championship.

Manuel Ardao is selected straight from the national u20s to join brother Diego in the side, with playmaker Felipe Etcheverry a standout flyhalf in the 2016 World Rugby u20 Trophy.
