Los Pumas Sevens Change Two for Cape Town

Two changes have been made by Los Pumas for the Cape Town Sevens. Two regular names have been ruled out of playing next weekend. They were injured in the season opening tournament this weekend in Dubai.

Captain Gastón Revol and fellow veteran Fernando Luna have been replaced. Their spots have gone to Santiago Álvarez Fourcade and Bautista Delguy. Both of the replacements have prior experience playing for Los Pumas.

The pairing happen to be strong contenders for places in Los Jaguares. Training for the 2018 Super Rugby season is about to begin with Mario Ledesma holding a forwards camp in Buenos Aires.

Álvarez Fourcade was involved in the 2017 season though did not receive any Super Rugby game time. Delguy is, in the view of many, the likes long-term successor to Joaquín Tuculet at fullback for Argentina.

At the season opening sevens tournament this weekend Los Pumas fell to Spain to end a disappointing campaign.
