Guinness Pro 14 – Week 10 Preview

Week 10 of the Guinness Pro 14 starts today. This round sees three matches being played on Friday and four on Saturday. Despite Wales having a home test match against South Africa the Guinness Pro 14 will have a full round. Teams from both Wales and South Africa will play league matches as normal.

The first player to take to the field from the Americas in week 10 will be Blaine Scully. The USA Eagles captain is to start on the left wing for the Cardiff Blues. His side are playing away from home in Scotland against the Glasgow Warriors.

Also playing this evening will be Callum Black. The uncapped USA eligible player is to be a reserve prop for Ulster who play away to the Dragons in Newport, Wales.

Saturday will see both Italian sides playing at home. Zebre host Connacht while Benetton Treviso face Leinster. Zebre have named Argentine players Eduardo Bello and Serafin Bordoli as replacements. Starting for Treviso will be Juan Ignacio Brex. He is to play at outside center. Canadian-Italian Robert Barbieri starts at no 8.

In Ireland Munster have home advantage against the Ospreys. The visitors from Wales have named Hanno Dirksen and Jeff Hassler as their starting wingers. Dirksen played for the USA against Munster in a non-capped international and also was an age-grade Eagle. Hassler has 17 caps for Canada.
