Bolivia Debut in Zicosur 7’s

Bolivia debuted in the Halcones Zicosur 7’s. Played this past weekend in Tucumán, Argentina Bolivia joined teams from Brazil, Chile,Uruguay and Argentine provinces at the regional event. Paraguay and Peru also had teams involved in Zicosur, albeit not in the rugby.

Bolivia is the only Spanish speaking country in South America that is not a member of Sudamérica Rugby. Overtime this will inevitably change. In 2018 Bolivia is to debut in the Juegos Sudamericanos.

The Halcones Zicosur 7’s served Bolivia as vital match experience. They had matches against both Chile and Brazil, falling to 42-0 and 29-5 losses in these respective matches.

Zicosur is the continental combination of South American countries from the West and South of the continent.
