Among Saturday’s extensive international fixtures was an historic meeting between Belgium and Brazil. Played in front of a packed house at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, the match proved a thrilling encounter with the enthusiastic crowd contributing to a wonderful atmosphere.
Belgium handed test debuts to sevens star Vincent Hart at flyhalf, New Zealand-born No 8 Nick Cording, and replacement hooker Gianni Vercammen. The Tupis featured one new cap in English-born scrumhalf Will Broderick who replaced a hobbled Matheus Cruz in the first half.
