Aviva Premiership – Round 8 Preview

Unsurprisingly there is little Americas activity in the Aviva Premiership this weekend with the best players away on international duty. There is one player who is conspicuously missing out on test duty, more on him later.

Starting the weekend on Friday is Saracens on the road against Gloucester. Juan Figallo and Chris Wyles are at tighthead prop and left wing respectively, with Marcelo Bosch on the bench.

Just one lonely Argentine will dress on Saturday when Juan Pablo Socino provides inside backs cover for Newcastle at Wasps. There is still no place for Juan Pablo Estelles in the Northampton lineup despite two excellent performances in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.

Sunday sees St. Lucia’s Marland Yarde named to make his debut for Sale Sharks after joining from Harlequins. On the other side of the pitch is Chris Baumann, set to make his Premiership debut while his country-mates prepare to play Germany on Saturday.
