Germany call Hilsenbeck, Tyumenev for USA match

Germany coach Kobus Potgieter was not satisfied with his team’s performance despite a 45-12 drubbing of Brazil in Leipzig this pastt wekend. A second half letdown saw his charges concede two tries to the Tupis after building a 38-0 lead.

There will be only minor tinkering for the first ever test match against the USA, though both expected changes will be significant. France-based professionals Mikael Tyumenev and Christopher Hilsenbeck have been summoned to bolster the side.

Hooker Tyumenev arrives from Strasbourg where he plays alongside Uruguay star Agustín Ormaechea. Hilsenback, a goal-kicking flyhalf, plays his club rugby for Vannes in the Pro D2 and counts Eagles prop Eric Fry among his teammates.
