Canada to play Fiji in Narbonne

Canada’s match against Fiji on November 25 has had a change of venue. Originally planned for Altrad Stadium in Montpellier, the fixture will now be played at the Parc des Sports et de l’Amitié in Narbonne. Kickoff is set for 6pm local time, noon Eastern. Tickets are now available for purchase via the FFR.

Fiji are currently the 9th best team in the world according to the official World Rugby Rankings and have named a strong squad for the November tests comprised of most of their top overseas professionals. Canada meanwhile are struggling at only 24th on the list. When the two sides last met Fiji came away 47-18 winners at The Stoop in London during a 2015 World Cup warm-up match but Canada does own a recent win over the Pacific Island nation, coming up trumps by 20-18 at Twin Elm Park in Ottawa during the 2013 Pacific Nations Cup.

This will be the final match for each country during the November international test window. Canada has already faced the Māori and will next meet Georgia before traveling to Spain. Fiji start their series against Italy with a heavyweight tilt against Ireland in Dublin the following week.
