Global Feel to Barbados World 7’s

There is a global feel to the Barbados World 7’s. Set to take place on December 9-10 there are 18 teams registered for the second edition of the event. It is to be played at Trents in St James, Barbados.

Competing will be eight Women’s and ten Men’s teams. They are from the USA, Canada, Scotland, Trinidad, St Lucia, Guadeloupe and Barbados. On the line is a cash prize of US$3000 in both divisions.

The event is an important part of rugby in Barbados and the region. It is to be of interest to tourists while for those unable to attend it will be available via the live stream.

Additional information will be posted on the tournament’s Facebook page Rugby Barbados World 7s or the website closer to the tournament date.

Manager of the Local Organizing Committee, George Nicholson noted:

“We are extremely excited to be in a position to offer this live streaming service to those fans of rugby overseas who we know would rather be here to cheer on their mates, but who perhaps just didn’t book in time. During the inaugural event last year we were bombarded with request for a live stream or live results, so we set out to make that a reality this year.”
