Juan Pablo Estelles scored a double in a losing effort on Saturday. The Northampton Saints winger went over for two tries against the Exeter Chiefs in an Anglo-Welsh Cup pool fixture. He also set up another. The 2017 English champions went on to win the match 43-28.
For Estelles the match marked his return to the senior line-up. His activity for Northampton this season has been in the ‘A’ League. Twelve months ago Estelles was called-up by Daniel Hourcade to play for Argentina. He faced Scotland as a replacement and started against England.
His two caps in 2016 brought his total for Pumas appearances up to three. His prior cap came in November 2008 against Chile in Santiago. He was one of nine players earning their first test caps. Among the others was Martín Landajo who did so from the bench. He is now the most capped Argentine scrum-half in history.
